4 of the Best Lipsticks Out There....
Makeup is indeed one of the biggest problem a girl can face. Its sometimes so hard to get it right, too dull, too orange not enough coverage. The same applies when looking at what lipstick to wear. If you get the colour wrong you can end up making a huge mistake, the texture wrong your lips could dry out. There's so many to choose from so I thought that I would share 4 of my all time favourite's the ones that have stuck by me through thick and thin.
Every girl needs the classic, a red, this can create a timeless look. It can make any outfit look classic and creates an air of grace. However when choosing a red it is so hard to get it right. There's so many shades to choose from, pinks, bricks, oranges. All the differing shades are suitable for at least some skin tones so if one fails try a different shade out. Personally being pale as a sheet, blonde with blue eyes the pure reds are the correct shade for me. Therefore after searching high and low and after a fair few red lipsticks I went for the Illamasqua Matte in Howl.
My next two are Mac. As a devout user of Mac cosmetics only recently switching my alligence to the up and coming brand Illamasqua, I am still a huge fan of their lipsticks. The two that I have championed for years are the Satin in Myth. This has the technique of making your makeup look perfect the soft mushroom pink colour is however only for the select few too pale and you fail too dark and it has the effect of making you look like you have applied foundation to your lips. It creates the perfect daytime shade but can be vamped up for a night time look with a smoky eye. The second shade is a more glossy one, Luster in Romance. A limited edition it can prove hard to get hold of yet the deep purple shade comes out lighter creating a glossy look on the lips and has the effect of being more a stain than a full covering lipstick.
Thirdly is my Clinique a tired and tested favourite, now unfortunately been discontinued, it is a glossy brick red. Once again the gloss distorts the colour in the lipstick dulling it down a bit. However it holds the trials and keeps its coverage whilst giving the lips a glossy sheen.
There we are some of my favourites, obviously everyone has their own but as far as lipsticks go Mac have the greatest variety whilst being of high quality. It is also the cheapest brand of the three. So I guess if your currently on the hunt check out the Mac counter and ask for a consultation.
